atomicdesign.net works toward conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Some content and components may not yet fully conform; known limitations are described below, and we are actively working to address them.

04Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on atomicdesign.net may not be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Third-party content embedded on the site (such as video players, social media embeds, and analytics tools) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA. We rely on the providers of these tools to address accessibility within their products.
- Some older content predating our current accessibility standards may not include complete image alternative text or ideal heading structure. We remediate older content as we encounter it.
- PDF documents linked from the site are an ongoing remediation project; some older PDFs may not be fully accessible. If you need an alternative format of any PDF or other document, contact us using the information below and we'll provide it.
We do not control the accessibility of third-party content embedded on our site. Where possible, we work with vendors who prioritize accessibility, but we cannot warrant the accessibility of third-party content or services.

06Assessment approach
Atomic Design assesses the accessibility of atomicdesign.net through:
- Self-evaluation against WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria
- Automated testing tools (such as axe DevTools, WAVE, and Lighthouse)
- Manual keyboard navigation testing
- Periodic screen reader testing
We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit. We review and update this statement at least annually.
